================

CLEVELAND – Experts called bed bugs an epidemic in Northeast Ohio, and one place that was affected was a local assisted living facility on Cleveland’s east side.

“They told me they were looking for bed bugs,” said tenant Edward Jones.

Jones lives in the ManorCare Nursing and Rehab, Euclid Beach facility along with 140 other people. Staff members changing sheets first noticed the tiny blood suckers a few weeks ago and called in a dog trained to sniff them out.

“He looked around in my room and took off,” said Jones.

Five rooms had the bugs and were treated, but that didn’t get rid of them.

==============

The executives said that the bed bugs were treated but it wasn’t enough to totally get rid of them. After how many days, when exterminators had a follow-up check, more rooms were found to be infested. This is only an example that hiring exterminators will always be the answer to bed bug infestations.

Many victims of these chiggers especially residents in Ohio had tried to treat bed bugs themselves. To their surprise, by the use of BedBug Bully product, the bed bugs were killed instantly and didn’t manage to get back.

BedBug Bully is the leading bed bug-killing product today. You might be imagining the same old aerosol that is sprayed directly to bed bugs and kill them, then after some time the bed bugs are there again. Absolutely no. BedBug Bully is a non-toxic, all natural solution that could kill the chiggers in no time and leaves no harmful chemicals in the air. It is definitely safe to use and recommended for an instant bed bug-free surrounding.

Give yourself a try. Kill and prevent the bed bugs from coming back by using the best bed bug solution!

So if you are to travel, take precautions to not come in contact with them. And even if you think haven’t been near anywhere where they could be nesting, don’t lay down your defenses. Always be alert as they are good with hiding.

It is important to know what bed bugs look like so that you may correctly identify them if you see any. They are brownish red in color and they are small, flat and round, but not too small that you cannot see them. Bed Bugs feast on human and animal blood in order to survive and it is the only thing they are looking for. They will attach themselves to a viable host and suck the skin until their entire body inflates with blood causing them to plump up and turn completely red. You can see the blood right through their skin once they have ingested it. They are similar to a tick, or a flea, but unlike ticks, they usually won’t stay attached onto their host for very long. They will bite, suck and then move on. They leave behind red itchy welts that will usually heal in a couple of days. Since they are relatively small, their bite is not very big. As far as the bite itself, it is usually painless as well as harmless. If anything, the person who experiences a bed bug bite is more traumatized emotionally than anything else.

They like to hide out in cracks, crevices, creases, and seams, which can make them hard to find but not hard to see. Since they are good at being undetected, it has allowed them to spread and lately there has been increasing reports of bed bug bites in the US. Travelers do not realize that the bugs have found their way into their luggage and this tends to be the number one reason people carry them along onto their next destination, whether it be home, another hotel, or a family member or friends house.

The best and most effective way to avoid getting bed bug bites is to invest in a bed bug mattress cover. They are specifically designed to keep bed bugs sealed up inside the mattress and are even bite proof. This is a good idea if you anticipate traveling anywhere no matter how short the trip may be. You never know where you may find them.

These types of covers are only effective provided they are used correctly. They have to cover and seal the entire mattress making sure you do not leave the zipper open at all. it must be kept zipped while in use on a mattress. This is recommended for travel only to use on beds that are unfamiliar to you. It is not a permanent solution and therefore would not be a good idea to use them if you have bed bugs in your home. That will require a different course of action and this information is only intended for those traveling. It is also important that you clean these covers in between uses, making sure that any bed bugs trapped inside be properly exterminated and disposed of.

You have to wash the covers in very hot water or you can put the cover in a sealed plastic bag and store it in the freezer. Any bed bugs trapped inside will freeze and die, then you can simply unzip the cover and easily dispose of the dead bugs the following day. Make sure this is done between uses. Both the heat from hot water or the cold from the freezer will definitely kill bedbugs.

Sprays are also available which you can buy and use in addition to the mattress cover in order to help keep bed bugs off of you while you are asleep. Select a spray that will not irritate your skin if at all possible and check with your local outdoor gear or camping store, they should carry this product. A quite effective way to avoid any bed bug bites is to have both the mattress cover and the spray in use while sleeping in any unfamiliar bed such as in a hotel room.

The only way to prevent any bed bug bite is to to never allow them the chance to bite you in the first place. But there could be a time when you just happen to stumble across them and it is best for you to be prepared. Always carry the items mentioned above with you while traveling. It’s your surest bet against getting bed bug bites.

It pays off to be very cautious of bed bugs even when traveling. It can help protect your items and even your possessions back at home. More importantly, it can help you keep away from their nasty bites.

Watch the video below to remind yourself why you have to keep away from bed bugs.

The main reason is the fact that bed bugs are small and that they usually live in gaps and crevices. If you won’t go looking for them, their infestation can grow massive. And that can leave you vulnerable of their bites that cause skin swelling and redness.

A bed bug infestation can go unnoticed. The main reason is the fact that bed bugs are small and that they usually live in gaps and crevices. If you won’t go looking for them, their infestation can grow massive. And that can leave you vulnerable of their bites that cause skin swelling and redness.

Bed bugs leave tiny red spots on the skin, which are slightly inflamed. These itchy marks look a lot like mosquito bites. But the main difference in the two bites is that bed bugs bites occur in a straight line, while mosquito bites are in random patterns. Bed bugs normally take 3 days to a week to go away.

It’s very difficult to differentiate bed bug bites from the bites of other insects. Thus, you will have to work on the rule of elimination. If you don’t see any insects flying around your home then it can’t be mosquitoes or other similar insects. To determine if you really have bed bugs, inspect your bed and couch to see if there is any tiny dark red colored residue on it. If yes, then you have bed bugs.

Different people react differently to bed bugs. Some people hardly get affected by them, while others get sick. People who travel a lot are more prone to get bed bug bites. Hotels, especially in America are suffering through this problem for quite some time now. But as an initial bed bug bite may take up to 9 days to show any signs, it becomes harder to find out where exactly you got them. As a result, in many cases, bed bug bites are misdiagnosed as allergic reactions, scabies or other insect, because people think that they bites are a result of something that happened to them recently. Most doctors prescribe anti-allergic pills or itching cream to cure the marks. But the real problem fails to get addressed.

But the good thing about bed bugs is that they are not dangerous like mosquitoes. True, they carry some pathogens which may make some people sick but the chances of that happening are very less. But the bad thing about these pests is that once they find home in a place it’s very difficult to get rid of them.

If you detect bed bugs in your home, shop or office, then the wisest thing will be to call an exterminator immediately. A good pest control service will make sure that the space is free of any infestation, in no time. There are a number of exterminators available online, where you can check out their services and experience before hiring them.

Nonetheless, if the infestation is still minor, you can do the elimination yourself. However, you to have to conduct a bed bug inspection first before anything else. It’s so you will know where to direct the treatment.

Watch the video below so you can implement a more thorough bed bug inspection.

Life is now generally harder. Prices of oil and other basic commodities are now higher. To catch up with the changes, it is necessary to save and protect our investments.

Purchasing your bedding can be a large investment and the lifespan of it is directly related to how well we care for it. Obviously the better we take care of our furniture, and all of our possessions, the longer they will last. Purchasing an impermeable mattress cover, to protect the lifespan of your mattress, is a huge step in the right direction.

It is generally accepted that most people spend as much as a third of their lifespan in bed. That adds up to a great deal of wear and tear on your mattress. It is important to spend as much effort in protecting your mattress as you spend protecting the rest of the furniture in your home. Using an impermeable mattress cover can prevent damage that inevitably comes from moisture, mould or bed bugs and dust mites, which can affect your health; your good nights sleep as well as your investment.

Water damage, which can lead to mould damage, is one obvious reason to cover your mattress. Spilling water or other liquids is not the only way moisture can seep into your mattress, staining is and leading to other problems. Rain and humidity, building up over a period of time, or mould and mildew growing in a cold climate can be a serious problem. And if you’re a parent of young children are familiar with the damage that wetting the bed can cause. In fact this is the most common reasons that mattresses are thrown away.

A mattress cover extends the lifespan enormously, helping to keep your mattress clean and new looking. Most mattresses are thrown away with minimal wear and tear. If you sufferer of allergies, covers can help lower seasonal allergies. The causes of allergies like dust mites and pet dander can build up in the fabric of the mattress over time.

With modern day bed bug infestations there are far more serious reasons to use an impermeable mattress cover. Bed bugs live on human blood and love warm environments such as your mattress. They live in most parts of the world and can lay up to 500 eggs, which hatch within 14 days and begin to feed immediately. The bed bug is a highly resilient creatures and it can be extremely difficult to rid yourself of an infestation. The most effective way to block them is with a mattress cover.

Available in a wide array of styles, features, materials and patterns it is easy to find just the right mattress cover for your needs.

Nonetheless, you have to know how to protect it from destructive elements as bed bugs to make it last longer.

Watch this video to know how to treat your mattress in case of bed bugs infestation.

And to make sure your treatment is free of harmful chemicals, use a green bed bugs spray. It’s gentle on your health and the environment but definitely tough on the pests.
