Bed bug infestation can bring a lot of problems. However, if it is detected early on, the worse of its effects can be prevented. But how will you able to know if you got a bed bug infestation? That’ the question presented to us by one of our readers. Here are her exact words:
My boyfriend lives in an apartment building. Over the past few months I notices bumps all over my body and becoming very itchy over night. We did find that the apartment has bed bugs and I may have possibly been taking them home with me unknowingly to my house. I saw a total of 6-7 bedbugs in my house. Does that mean my house id infested?? Also we bought tons of bed bug spray and bombs. I have not got bitten in the last two-three days so does that mean it worked??
An answer given by another of our reader is:
just keep doin what you are doin, it seems like you got them early enough
Our Take:
There are many things that can give away bed bug infestation. The rash that you get is just one of the signs of bed bug presence. You should implement a thorough house inspection to look for more hints of them. Among those you have to look for are dark spots and discarded bed bug shells in your bed, couch or cabinet. Remember to check cracks and crevices as they live specifically in them. A foul yet sweet odor is also another hint of bed bug infestation.
Spraying the infested item or area can be an effective means to kill bed bugs. However, to keep it safe, you have to use an organic bed bug spray.
