Although bed bugs are not really nocturnal insects, they tend to strike during night time or when the host is in deep slumber.
When a bug feeds itself, it injects saliva which contains anticoagulants and anaesthetics so the host won’t feel any pain or whatsoever. That is the reason why many people are not aware that they are actually making themselves a feast for those pests. Responses to bed bug infestations and their bites usually vary but the common effects are anxiety, stress, and insomnia. Skin infections and scars are the most apparent since bed bug bites tend to produce swollen bumps and rashes.
